Most of us have beliefs that we just accept - like compulsory eduction is a good thing or democracy, though imperfect, is better than the alternatives. I find that I'm starting to challenge some of my own long-held convictions. So here goes ...

I would very much like my own meadow. I am very envious.
Girl, it is very lovely, but at least you live in a nice corner of Britain. That said, there is plenty of space in the Dordogne, so meadows, woods, rivers, lakes ... Imagine how nice Britain would be with say 20 million people; well that's the equivalent of the population density we enjoy in France as a whole, but even less in these parts.
Spring shifted its arse here a while back, then the rains came tumbling down and now summer's finally edging in. Great photos. A meadow, sigh.
Ah to be somewhere where you can lie amongst the wildflowers without a bull ant biting! I remember frolicking among bluebells as a child. Is the grass really greener on the other side? Seems so sometimes.
